Remember those chain emails that were going around, insisting that Obama was a Muslim?
We here at Blogger Central refused to buy into that, and we still do.
However,
Obama's campaign does have a history of associating with extremist
Muslim groups. Two months ago, the Obama campaign's Muslim outreach
coordinator was fired because of her links to a radical Muslim cleric.
Now, the currently serving outreach coordinator has been meeting with
senior staffers of CAIR, the Council on American/Islamic Relations.
CAIR staffers have been convicted of several felonies, including
terrorist-related offenses. When you get right down to it, the closest
organization to CAIR in American history, regarding motives and
purpose, is the German-American Bund. That organization was in place to
create a favorable view of Nazi Germany. CAIR is in place to create a
favorable view of Islamic fundamentalism. We'll leave it to you to
decide which is the worst.
Here is an interesting excerpt from the article:
Johari
Abdul Malik, imam of the Dar Al-Hijrah Mosque in Falls Church, Va.,
also participated in the meeting. During a conference in Chicago in
2001, he told attendees, "You can blow up bridges, but you cannot kill
people who are innocent on their way to work." In November 2004 he told
followers, "You will see Islam move from being the second largest
religion in America -- to being the first religion in America."
Sounds
to me like these guys understand the Constitution and the Bill of
Rights, alright. Shoot. We might as well make them all citizens and put
them in government jobs.
